1980 :: Because of the company’s growth and the diversity of its activities in waste management, Gaudreau creates two new entities. In June, 1982, Services Sanitaires Gaudreau inc. (which will eventually replace Jacques Gaudreau inc.) and Gestion J. Gaudreau inc. are established. In 1983, Récupération Gaudreau inc. sees the day.

1989 :: Mr. Gaudreau’s sons, André and Daniel, already committed to the business, officially take up the torch and follow in their father’s footsteps. The same vision and the same desire to protect the environment for future generations is passed on from father to sons.

That same year, a second sanitary landfill is opened in Saint-Rosaire. Cited as an example of respect for environmental guidelines by the federal and provincial governments, this site is revered as a favourite visit location by our politicians.

The end of the 80’s is marked by a major shift in the company as it places itself at the forefront of both the recycled and compost products industry to meet the provincial government’s environmental expectations. A first recycling plant is bought and thus begins the process of separate collection.

1991 :: Still prioritizing on respect for the environment, Gaudreau begins, in June, 1991 to advocate a selective method for draining waste from septic tanks.

1992 :: Gaudreau begins its first compost tests.

1993 :: A septic waste treatment center is established in St-Rosaire.
