Think far ahead. Think Big!

Look ahead, think ahead!

Gaudreau has always been able to distinguish itself. Known as a leader in the field, its reputation was built on innovation and vision in recycling and environmental preservation.

Our motto: Look ahead, think ahead!

Some of our highlights:
By collaborating with the Victoriaville Municipality, Gaudreau managed to divert 66% of waste from landfills in the year 2006, thanks to an alternate collection method (recycling and waste) and weekly collection (from mid-April to mid-November) of composting materials. These results remain unequalled to this day, and are nearing the 60% objective set by the provincial government through the Quebec Residual Materials Management Policy 1998-2008.

The Company was one of the first in the Province of Quebec to:

  • Implement selective all-mixed-up and alternate collection with 360-litre carts;
  • Integrate selective all-mixed-up collection for single dwellings, apartment buildings as well as industries, businesses and institutions;
  • Promote 3-way collection on a provincial scale;
  • Provide septic tank emptying using different selective methods, which aim to reduce the liquid volume to be processed by up to 60%;
  • Integrate empty and drained oil container gathering into selective collection.

Highlights:
2007 : The presentation of the "Ronde de sécurité" Prize in the autumn of 2007 by the "Association des mandataires en vérification mécanique du Québec" (ASMAVERMEQ). This prize was presented further to the training given to technicians in order to comply with the updates to the laws and technological changes. The trainer noticed that, at Gaudreau, the register books were kept in an exemplary fashion and that, when it came to the subjects of safety rounds and points of inspection, our procedures were excellent.

2005: Winner of the “Hommage aux Bâtisseurs” award given by the Bois-Francs Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the 2005 Performance Pantheon. This award underlines the extraordinary contribution of one family to a region’s economical development.
